Oh, Leavenworth, how I love thee. 

A weekend away was just what I needed: Saturday morning in bed with Shannon and Christine Sparkleface, spending the day strolling through town, and randomly running into five sorority sisters.

It was full of amazing conversation, hearty laughter, late night "Truth or Dare," and a box full of Gushers.

Can't wait for La Toscana 2013!

I hate talking politics - the thought alone makes me uncomfortable. But, that doesn't mean I didn't vote. An acquaintance of mine changed her Facebook status this morning.

"Today I refuse to pick the lesser of two evils and vote. Don't think anyone running is worth the ink in my pen."

Yes, that is verbatim. And it really fired me up.

WE HAVE A RIGHT TO VOTE! And even if you don't like either candidate, think about the other issues that need voters! (Cough, Referendum 74, cough.)

Your opinion may differ from mine, and that's fine. But I am happy to say that I voted for what I believe in.

I hope you exercise your right to vote and do the same.

With birthmas (birthday + Christmas) quickly approaching, it seemed like the right time to start compiling a wish list. (Is it a little self-centered to create a list and blog about it? I am 70-30 on this... 70% uncomfortable, 30% okay with it. I'll keep you posted if that ratio changes.)

I've been wanting this customized stamp set from Paper Source for awhile now. I don't send a ton of snail mail, but maybe this would encourage me to send more? Look at how cute these designs are!

You know you're losing creativity when you start asking for kitchen gadgets. I'm in desperate need of some new dishtowels and oven mitts. Does anybody else have a hole in the crease between the thumb & the rest of the hand? Warning: It doesn't feel great!

And lastly, a new travel coffee mug. Mine currently has a giant crack at the top, which causes almost all of my coffee to leak out. I brew the coffee to drink it, not to wet my hands with it.

Last Dance

As you all know, Mr. Malone and I had a very busy summer. We were completely honored to celebrate with our friends and family this year. (Seriously! I am totally floored that that many people like us that much.) Needless to say, however, we aren't crying about wedding season being over.
